You are the faint light in a lane of Shanghai, yet illuminating the disaster-stricken China. You are the gunshot at dawn in Nanchang, initiating the cry of the hardworking masses in their struggle! You are the pine cannon of Huangyangjie, you are the surging wind and thunder of Wujing, you are the deep bloodstains by the Xiangjiang River, you are the towering pagoda on the Loess Plateau, you are the cloud sail of a million troops crossing the Yangtze River, you are the intelligent brain of Qian Xuesen, you are the belt that the common people once tightened! You have forged ahead from scratch, you have walked with difficulty. Every step you have taken has witnessed the ever-changing landscape of the People's Republic. Every step you have taken has witnessed the countless bloody and brilliant scenes of sickles and hammers shining together, and the countless magnificent and glorious lands of the People's Republic surrounded by grains and gears...

On September 16, 2022, the main event of the National Science Popularization Day in Gulou District, Fuzhou City, with the theme of "Welcoming the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and Popularizing Science for the Future", was held in Zhongshan Community. The Fujian Shenfeng Science and Technology Chorus (Fuzhou Zhongshan Community Chorus) presented the closing performance of the event, a mixed chorus "Follow You" written by Zhang Hai, composed by Zuo Yuanjian and arranged by CAI Fusheng. This is a song of praise to the Party, a heartfelt expression of the Chinese people to the Party!

Under the bright autumn sun, under the clear blue sky of the People's Republic, in the profound gaze of Mr. Sun Yat-sen, and on the annual National Science Popularization Day, a group of former builders of the People's Republic, embracing the golden sunlight of the Party, passionately performed this ode! As if weeping, as if singing, as if reciting, in the song, we feel the grandeur of Mount Tai overlooking all other mountains and the boldness of the Great Wall stretching for thousands of miles! We experienced the tenderness of the water towns in the south of the Yangtze River and the boundlessness of the snowy fields in the north! We see the solitary smoke in the desert and the setting sun over the long river. We hear the sails and OARS of Zheng He's voyages to the Western Seas and the swords and halberds of Zheng Chenggong as he sets sail across the Taiwan Strait to recover the treasure island. Those are the five thousand years of glory and the heavy homesickness that have permeated our souls!
